Autumnal Wedding at Penventon Hotel, Redruth, Cornwall

This weekend the lovely Leanne and Dorian tied the knot at the Penventon Hotel, and it was a beautiful celebration full of love, warmth and personal touches.

What made this wedding truly memorable was how personal it felt, the life long relationships, and the connections between everyone involved. Leanne teaches at Bev-lyn school of dance, and the Bev-lyn family were well represented - the hairdressers, the celebrant, many of the guests, even myself!

It all began with bridal prep at Studio 19. The morning was full of laughter and personal anecdotes and even some exciting new life skills were achieved…this included the first ever popping of a bottle from a maid of honour, and discovering an innovative way to stop the lovely bride Leanne from crying…THE POWER POSE! (You’re welcome).

After a hilarious morning we made our way to the bride’s family home for some final touches and to get dressed. Time was flying by and before we knew it we were at the Penventon ready for the ceremony. The ceremony was beautifully personal and full of belly laughs from the super relaxed couple.

The evening was non-stop fun, with a caricaturist, a mirror photo booth, a DJ and some strong dance skills. Not to mention the all-important exchange of the bride for a laptop and two camels!

The Penventon’s staff ensured everything flowed seamlessly, and the couple’s love and personality radiated through every part of the day. It was the perfect autumn celebration—cozy, joyful and full of heart.

A huge congratulations to the awesome couple, Mr and Mrs Oldfield! I know the next chapter is going to be an amazing one.

PS: It’s also been brought to my attention that when I’m shooting a wedding, I often rest in fourth position. Thank you Mrs M :)
